Betsy Quail

Betsy Quail coordinates a host of conservation education programs and projects as the Museum’s Urban Conservation Educator. Present projects include: providing teacher training, developing curriculum, and supporting participants in the ability to take action to preserve and conserve the biodiversity of the Calumet Region on the southeast side of Chicago. Betsy also acts as a liaison for many of the museum’s education partnerships. Currently, she serves on the Education Team Organizing Committee of Chicago Wilderness, a partnership of over 200 organizations working together to promote biodiversity in the region. Betsy also participates in the region wide Mighty Acorns Partnership by serving as the Board Chair and participating in the partnership's curriculum and fundraising task forces.
Betsy is a graduate of the University of Michigan's School of Natural Resources and Environment with a B.S. in Environmental Policy and Behavior. Prior to her current position, she coordinated and assisted in the implementation of the work of the Chicago Wilderness Education & Communication Team from 1999 until 2002.
