Dawn Martin

Dawn Martin joined the division of Environment, Culture and Conservation (ECCo) in the newly created position of Operations Administrator in 2007. She works to improve communications and logistical efficiency, not only between the division’s departments of ECP and CCUC, but also between ECCo and the larger Museum community.

Dawn comes to the Museum after more than a decade of work as an art services and objects conservation project manager in the private sector. She has worked with museum sector clients for much of that time, and has managed projects including the conservation of the only existent launch-ready Saturn V Rocket at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.

She earned a BA in Art History in 1996 and a BFA in Sculpture in 1997 from Indiana University. She has completed additional training in the conservation and documentation of historic structures at the Campbell Center in Mt. Carroll, IL.
