Thanks to the work of BugCampers, you may search the Field Museum's Diptera Database.
Neither Streblidae nor Nycteribiidae will be included in this database because they are part of an independent project.
Please note that this database - like most other such museum systems - is not static. New material is being added, specimens are re-identified by specialists, taxonomic or geographic information is upgraded, material is being used or modified during various research projects. This "publication" of data is a tool that gives potential users of our collection advance information about material available by loan or for on-site study.
We claim copyright to our data. The information is available ONLY for not-for-profit scientific use with the stipulation that FMNH be clearly identified as the source of the data. We request copies or reprints of publications that are based on our collections. For commercial requests, questions, comments, and loans, please contact our collection management.
