| Key Structure: 1. Flowers pedunculate; petals spreading or recurved; leaves uniformly green. 2. Ovary 3-angled or 3-lobed, not winged. 3. Petals pink streaked towards base; sepal margins undulate - T. undulatum. 3. Petals white; sepal margins entire - T. nivale 2. Ovary 6-angled, 6-ridged, 6-winged. 4. Leaves broadly rhombic; ovary dark, pink, or white; styles stout and recurved. 5. Petals usually white; ovary pink or white. 6. Petals strongly recurved; peduncles nodding; anthers 4-7 mm – T. cernuum 6. Petals spreading; peduncles horizontal to somewhat nodding; anthers 7-15 mm – T. flexipes 5. Petals usually maroon; ovary dark. – T. erectum 4. Leaves ovate to rhombic; ovary white; styles slender and more or less straight – T. grandiflorum 1.
